TPCC chief highlights 1,000 days of welfare & development initiatives | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president B Mahesh Kumar Goud on Monday said the Congress govt’s 1,000 days of performance is a significant milestone on the welfare and development front in the state.“Chief minister A Revanth Reddy-led govt had given priority to education, healthcare, women, farmers, students, unemployed youth and other sections of the society during its 1,000-day journey. Farmers’ welfare remained a major focus, with the govt spending ₹1.7 lakh crore on agriculture and farmers in 32 months,” Mahesh Goud said.On welfare measures, Mahesh Goud highlighted the Gruha Jyothi scheme, under which households receive free electricity up to 200 units, and the supply of LPG cylinders for ₹500. He said 16.3 lakh new ration cards had been issued to fulfil the aspirations of poor families. With over 1 crore food security cards, around 3.4 crore people were benefiting from the food security system, he added.“Over 70,000 govt jobs had been provided, creating confidence among Telangana’s youth. The govt conducted a BC caste survey, passed 42% reservation Bills for BCs in the assembly which are now pending with the Centre, and made Telangana the first state to implement SC categorisation after the Supreme Court order,” the TPCC president said.Stating that the govt’s decisions were aligned with AICC leader Rahul Gandhi’s vision of social justice, with farmers, women, workers and weaker sections placed at the centre of governance, he termed the completion of 1,000 days as a milestone in Telangana’s people-oriented administration.
