Telangana govt employees’ JAC calls off proposed agitation after Bhatti assures of DA hike | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Telangana govt employees joint action committee secretary general Eluri Sreenivasa Rao on Wednesday said deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka assured them that two Dearness Allowances (DAs) would be given to them by Dasara next month and another between Sankranti and Ugadi next year.Following talks between the deputy CM and the JAC leaders, the JAC called off its plans to go on an agitation and said it would take a final call on its future course of action at their next meeting.The JAC leaders were invited for talks with chief minister A Revanth Reddy at the CM’s camp office late on Wednesday. However, due to a delayed review of the energy sector, the CM was unable to meet the JAC leaders. Instead, the deputy CM along with chief secretary Sanjay Jaju held talks with the JAC leaders.“Our other main demand for implementation of the long-pending PRC was discussed. The deputy CM said the govt would get the PRC report in 15 days’ time and decide on it,” said Sreenivasa Rao.On the release of pending bills of employees, the deputy CM assured them that maximum bills would be cleared by March next year with the govt in favour of enhancing even the monthly release of Rs 1,000 crore.On the demand for reverting back to the old pension scheme, the deputy CM assured the JAC leaders that an official-cum-JAC members joint committee committee would be constituted soon to look into the issue.
