Hyderabad: A fire broke out at a cluster of private furniture godowns in Gudimalkapur on Sunday morning, damaging six units, though no injuries or casualties were reported. Langar Houz station fire officer M Mahesh said a fallen electrical wire from a power pole was suspected to have triggered the blaze. Of the 16 godowns in the area, six were damaged while firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the remaining ten. Firefighting operations continued till late evening. Officials said losses could run into lakhs of rupees.
