Revanth busy with ‘vote theft’ campaign in Delhi, while farmers suffer: Ramchander

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Tuesday accused chief minister A Revanth Reddy of neglecting farmers in Telangana while staging political protests in Delhi under the banner of ‘vote theft’.Addressing a public meeting after the BJP’s Prajatantra Parirakshana Mahapadayatra in Nirmal, Rao said farmers in Telangana were facing severe difficulties due to a lack of irrigation water and electricity, with some even resorting to suicide. However, the CM was not addressing their problems and was busy campaigning in Delhi on the issue of vote theft, he alleged.Taking a dig at CM Revanth and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Rao said it was not vote theft but ‘brain theft’ in Revanth Reddy’s case, while Rahul Gandhi was involved in ‘name theft’ by appropriating the Gandhi surname. He alleged that both leaders were conspiring to loot the country and the state.Rao alleged that the Congress had a history of corruption involving ₹12 lakh crore of public money when it was in power. In contrast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s NDA govt has provided clean governance without any taint of corruption, he claimed.Accusing the Congress of conspiring to destabilise the Modi govt and undermine democracy, Rao called on BJP workers to expose the party’s alleged actions to the public. He urged them to strengthen the BJP at the village level, expressing confidence that the party would come to power in Telangana in the future. The Mahapadayatra, organised to protect democracy, began at the Shantinagar crossroads in Nirmal and teamed up with a large number of BJP workers and members of the public.BJP national general secretary and Telangana in-charge Sunil Bansal, state co-in-charge Rekha Sharma, Union minister of state for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar, BJP legislature party leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy, MPs Eatala Rajender, G Nagesh and Dharmapuri Arvind, and several MLAs and party leaders participated.
