Hyderabad: BRS Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has been asked to submit a written explanation by Saturday over his conduct during a recent assembly session, with the ethics committee warning of further action if he fails to respond within the deadline.The notice follows complaints over the BRS MLA’s conduct during a heated exchange in the assembly on March 29, when he was accused of making objectionable remarks and a threatening gesture during an argument involving Congress MLA Kadiyam Srihari.The issue was subsequently referred to the assembly ethics committee, which examined the complaints and related material at its meeting on Aug 29 and decided to seek Kaushik Reddy’s explanation.The committee has now asked him to submit his response by Saturday. If he fails to do so, it is understood that the committee could proceed with further action based on the material available to it.Kaushik Reddy has frequently been involved in controversies over his conduct and remarks in the assembly, making the latest notice another issue for the BRS to contend with on the floor of the House.
