“In constant discussions with Russian side…”: MEA says 239 Indian nationals discharged from Russian Army
NEW DELHI: Foreign secretary Vikram Misri said Monday India remains in touch with Russia over the issue of Indian nationals serving in the Russian army and that out of the 227 such individuals, 139 have been discharged. However, he also said that 51 Indians who worked with the Russian army had perished unfortunately.“This issue has been discussed at various levels. You would be aware that our embassy in Moscow is monitoring this situation regularly with regard to the release and repatriation of these Indian citizens,” said Misri. TNN
