Hyderabad: Phenom, a global Applied AI company for human resources, plans to expand its India operations with investments in technology, talent and innovation, creating more than 2,000 jobs in India in the coming years and increasing its footprint in Telangana.Mahe Bayireddi, CEO and co-founder of Phenom, said India’s technology talent and ambition make it central to the future of work. He said organisations must move from AI experiments to measurable transformation, using automation and intelligence to redesign workflows while keeping people at the centre.The company’s platform uses engines, ontologies, X AI and agents to support recruiting, scheduling, talent marketplaces, career pathing, mentoring and referrals, with a focus on security, compliance and explainability.The India operations of Greater Philadelphia, US-based Phenom are located in Hyderabad, with centres in Visakhapatnam and Bengaluru, covering engineering, product development, data science, customer success and support.Apart from India, globally it also operates across Canada, Israel, the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom.Founded in 2010, the company serves more than 500 enterprises worldwide across technology, healthcare, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, transportation, finance, energy and utilities.While its global customer base includes Microsoft, Honeywell and Southwest Airlines, its India customer base includes Royal Enfield, IDFC, Dr Reddy’s, Capgemini, PwC, NTT DATA, OpenText and Eli lily.Phenom said it will outline detailed expansion and hiring plans at IAMPHENOM India 2026, scheduled for Dec 17, 2026, in Hyderabad. The event will bring together HR, talent acquisition, HRIT and business leaders to discuss how AI can improve hiring, employee development and retention.
