T govt’s sole focus is sale of govt lands, says Harish | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Alleging that the Cong govt has sold about ₹30,000 crore worth of the govt land in the past two and half years, former minister T Harish Rao said if all the lands are sold like this, in the future, it would be difficult to get land for graveyards (Vaikuntadhamams), govt hospitals, schools and temples.Speaking at a meeting of the victims of 22A prohibited properties list at KPHB Colony on Wednesday, the BRS deputy leader heard the grievances of the affected families and criticised the Congress govt and chief minister A Revanth Reddy. The lands purchased by ordinary people with their hard-earned money are being placed in the 22A prohibited list overnight, causing harassment to the public, he said.“Instead of working to provide people with education, healthcare, drinking water, electricity, transportation, employment and farmers’ welfare, why is the govt focusing solely on lands,” he asked.“Govt lands are assets for future generations; they are not meant to be sold. When KCR was the CM, governance was centered around the people. But after Revanth Reddy became the CM, governance has become centered entirely around lands. Housing Board lands, TGIIC lands—wherever govt land is found, putting up a board and offering it for sale has become the Congress govt’s policy,” he criticised. The BRS strongly condemns these anti-people policies. On behalf of the 22A victims and in the interest of protecting the property of ordinary people, we will wage an uncompromising struggle and fight the Congress govt until it gives in, Harish Rao said.
