Kodad job mela to offer 3,500 opportunities for rural youth: Uttam | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday said Kodad would become a gateway to employment opportunities for thousands of rural youngsters whose qualifications have yet to translate into jobs, with a mega job mela scheduled for Sept 19.The job fair, being organised by Uttam in coordination with Kodad MLA N Padmavathi Reddy, aims to bring more than 300 companies and over 3,500 job opportunities within reach of young people from five districts.The recruitment drive seeks to address the persistent gap between educated rural youth and organised-sector employment. It is being organised with the support of The Singareni Collieries Company Limited and the Industries Department.Jobseekers from Suryapet, Nalgonda, Yadadri-Bhongir, Khammam and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts are being mobilised for the event, which will provide candidates an opportunity to interact directly with employers and attend interviews under one roof.Graduates in engineering, pharmacy and management, along with diploma holders and other qualified youngsters, often face difficulties in identifying suitable vacancies, connecting with employers and travelling to Hyderabad for interviews. The Kodad initiative seeks to reduce these barriers by bringing employers closer to prospective employees.
