9-year-old girl dies after falling from school stairs in Shadnagar | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: A nine-year-old girl died on Friday, a day after she fell down a flight of stairs at her school in Shadnagar.According to Shadnagar CI K Seetharam, the incident occurred on Thursday when the girl, identified as Varnika, was reportedly descending the school stairs and lost her balance. She sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital by school staff. She died while undergoing treatment on Friday.CI Seetharam said no complaint had been lodged with the police as of Friday night. The officer also said Varnika reportedly had a pre-existing heart condition.The incident was captured on the school’s CCTV cameras. The footage reportedly showed Varnika losing her balance and falling while using the stairs.
