KCR to be back as Telangana’s CM, says KTR | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Claiming that people from all sections of society who feel betrayed by the Congress govt are now looking towards the pink party, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said that former CM K Chandrashekar Rao is certain to return to power in Telangana. Addressing a party meeting, KTR said KCR would once again play a significant role not only in Telangana politics but also at the national level. He said that four years ago, KCR’s call for a non-Congress, non-BJP alliance was not fully understood by many, but current political developments have made people realise the relevance of his vision.Speaking at a party workers’ meeting at Amberpet on Friday, KTR criticised both the BJP and the Congress, alleging that the BJP has pushed the country into a crisis while the Congress has failed to provide a credible alternative agenda. “The weakness of the Congress at the national level has created space for new political movements and growing dissatisfaction among young people. Despite repeated efforts, the Congress party has been unable to strengthen its position. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has failed to emerge as an effective opposition leader against the BJP,” he said. The BRS leader alleged that the Congress govt in Telangana had failed to address key issues such as power supply, drinking water shortages and the challenges faced by farmers. “The state’s agricultural sector is facing difficulties while several welfare promises made to students, unemployed youth and other sections of society remained unfulfilled,” he said.KTR accused the Congress govt of mishandling the state’s water resources and failing to take adequate precautionary measures despite warnings regarding the El Nino effect. He claimed that neighbouring states had taken timely steps to safeguard water availability, while Telangana had failed to fill its reservoirs and projects in advance. He expressed confidence that the BRS would perform strongly if local body and corporation elections were held, citing the party’s past electoral successes. He urged party leaders and workers to work collectively from voter registration to polling day in the upcoming graduate constituency MLC elections.
