Hold road shows abroad to promote Invest T’gana Summit: CS to officials

Hyderabad: Telangana chief secretary Sanjay Jaju directed the officials to plan and organise road shows in foreign countries this month to showcase Telangana’s investment potential, business-friendly ecosystem, sectoral strength and opportunities to global investors and corporate leaders. The chief secretary held a high-level meeting with senior officials at the secretariat on Monday and reviewed the preparations being undertaken for the Invest Telangana Global Summit, scheduled to be held from Dec 7 to 9.The CS held reviewed the arrangements being made across various sectors for the global investment summit. During the meeting, he directed that all prominent companies operating in the state should be appropriately represented in the advisory board or executive council of the summit.He further instructed officials to give special attention to inviting the global heads of leading multinational companies to participate in the summit. He called for a multipronged and focused outreach strategy to engage global leadership and encourage their participation in the Investors Summit.As part of the international outreach strategy, Sanjay Jaju directed the officials to plan and organise road shows in major foreign countries during this month. He also asked the officials to hold a road show in New Delhi during the last week of the month, as part of the investor mobilisation and outreach programme.Sectoral officials briefed Sanjay Jaju on the progress achieved in their respective areas and apprised him of the preparations being made for the summit.The arena and exhibition arrangements, along with media, hospitality and logistics, protocol, food, culture and security arrangements, are being taken forward as per the schedule.The chief secretary directed all concerned officials to maintain close coordination among the different sectors and ensure timely completion of all remaining works.
