Hyderabad: Former minister T Harish Rao on Saturday accused chief minister A Revanth Reddy of taking credit for land cases fought and won by the previous BRS govt while allegedly facilitating the transfer of valuable govt land to private parties.Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, Harish Rao showed documents, including judgments, registration documents, encumbrance certificates and Bhu Bharati records of the alleged illegal transactions. He demanded a judicial inquiry headed by a sitting judge into the alleged irregularities.Stating there were irregularities in Manchirevula Greyhounds land transactions, Harish Rao said the BRS govt had successfully fought the legal battle in high court and Supreme Court, securing 142 acres for the state. He recalled that the apex court delivered its verdict in favour of the state on Aug 1, 2023.However, he alleged that 10.10 acres of the land were subsequently transferred to private parties following the demolition of a compound wall. Citing a document registered in 2026 at the Gandipet sub-registrar’s office, he claimed that the property, with a recorded market value of approximately ₹45.39 crore, was registered through a conveyance deed without consideration. He alleged that the transaction resulted in a potential loss of nearly ₹1,000 crore to govt..On the Miyapur land dispute, Harish Rao said the previous BRS govt had initiated investigations, arrested accused persons and engaged senior advocate CS Vaidyanathan to pursue the case.
