Fortune Hospitality announces ₹60,000 crore AI data center in Hyderabad | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Fortune Hospitality plans to invest an initial ₹60,000 crore to develop a hyperscale artificial intelligence data centre park in Telangana, with cumulative investment likely to rise to ₹1 lakh crore in later phases, even as a second project is under consideration in Gujarat, the company said on Wednesday.The proposed Fortune Data Center Park will come up over about 170 acres at Kandukur mandal in Ranga Reddy district, within the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region. The project is being led by Fortune Hospitality & Infra LLP through its special purpose vehicle, Sudeeksha Estates LLP, in partnership with global data-centre operators and hyperscalers, it said.The Telangana campus is designed to support 1,200 MW to 1,600 MW of IT load across four independently operable hyperscale modules, each with a capacity of up to 400 MW for AI, cloud, colocation and high-performance computing workloads.The land was allotted under a Telangana industries and commerce department order dated July 17, 2026. Fortune said the site has sanctioned power capacity of 2,000 MVA from TGTRANSCO and is located near POWERGRID’s 765/400 kV infrastructure and TGTRANSCO substations.The company said it will use treated greywater, closed-loop cooling systems and long-term solar and wind power purchase agreements to reduce freshwater demand and emissions.Fortune Hospitality & Infra managing director Dr Ramakrishna said India’s demand for AI-ready digital infrastructure is rising rapidly and the park is being developed with leading data centre operators and hyperscalers with sustainability being built into the design.Telangana industries and IT minister D Sridhar Babu said the state aims to become a global AI data-centre hub while pursuing net-zero development.Fortune has also submitted a preliminary proposal to acquire 300 acres in Sanand, Gujarat, for expansion.
