CM orders magisterial probe into Tukkuguda nurse’s rape, murder | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Taking serious note of the recent rape and murder of a nurse at a private hospital in Tukkuguda on the outskirts of Hyderabad, chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday ordered a comprehensive magisterial inquiry into the incident.He directed authorities to examine all aspects of the case, including the circumstances leading to the crime, security arrangements at the victim’s accommodation, any negligence on the part of the management, and the implementation of mandatory safety protocols for female employees.With the accused already in custody, the CM instructed senior police officers to closely monitor the case to ensure the timely completion of the investigation, forensic analysis and collection of technical evidence, followed by the filing of a comprehensive charge sheet.The state govt will also initiate measures to ensure the victim’s family receives speedy justice through a fast-track court.The CM also directed the law department, police and prosecution wing to work in coordination to prevent delays in the trial process. He reiterated that the govt would stand by the victim’s family and extend all possible support.Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Seethakka have already visited the family. The state govt has provided financial assistance to the family and sanctioned an Indiramma house.The CM emphasised the need for a thorough investigation and effective prosecution to ensure the accused is punished in accordance with the law. He also directed officials to identify and address any systemic lapses that may have contributed to the incident.
