Appoint nodal officer for Adilabad airport project: Kishan to Telangana govt | Hyderabad News
Hyderabad: Union coal and mines minister G Kishan Reddy on Sunday said the ministries of defence and civil aviation had appointed nodal officers to coordinate with Telangana govt regarding the construction of a joint-user airfield at Adilabad.Reddy urged Telangana govt to appoint a nodal officer to work with all stakeholders and help expedite the project.In a post on X, Reddy said the project would include an Air Force training centre and facilities for both civilian and defence operations. Defence infrastructure would include trainer aircraft facilities, aircraft parking and dispersals, weather shelters, hangars, an operational complex, training facilities and maintenance infrastructure.On the civilian side, Airports Authority of India would establish a civil terminal and maintenance, repair and overhaul facility, he said. The project would also require accommodation for defence personnel, sports and recreational facilities, essential amenities, water supply and sanitation infrastructure.
