Hyderabad: A 44-year-old businessman and his wife were injured after their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a car near Godavari Cuts in Madhapur on Sept 7. The incident came to light on Sept 9 after the couple lodged a complaint with the Madhapur police.According to the police, the complainant, Bommi Reddy Rajasekhar Reddy, a resident of Mothinagar in Borabanda, was travelling from Raidurgam to Madhapur with his wife at around 12.20 pm. When they reached Godavari Cuts, a car allegedly approached from behind at high speed and rammed their motorcycle in a rash and negligent manner.The impact threw the couple onto the road. Rajasekhar sustained bleeding injuries to his left shoulder, left elbow and left leg, while his wife suffered bleeding injuries near her right ear and on her left leg.Their motorcycle and Rajasekhar’s mobile phone were damaged in the accident. The car allegedly involved in the collision also sustained damage.The complainant further alleged that the car driver had chased him before hitting the motorcycle. Police said they are investigating the allegation and collecting evidence to verify the claim.A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
