EAM Jaishankar meets Zelenskyy in Kyiv: Talks focus on bilateral cooperation, Russia-Ukraine conflict

External affairs minister S Jaishankar on Thursday met Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his visit to Kyiv, with discussions focusing on bilateral cooperation and possible approaches to ending the ongoing conflict, Jaishankar said.“Pleased to call on President @ZelenskyyUa today #Ukraine,” Jaishankar said in a post on X.He said he also briefed Zelenskyy on his discussions with Ukrainian foreign minister Andrii Sybiha on strengthening bilateral ties.“Apprised him of discussions with FM @andrii_sybiha on deepening our bilateral cooperation,” Jaishankar said.

We join in mourning every life lost and convey our deepest sympathy to every affected family,” the EAM said.The visit comes after Jaishankar met Russian president Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin during his two-day official visit to Russia, on August 24.
