Uttarakhand to launch month-long ‘Seva Sankalp’ campaign from Sept 17: CM Dhami | India News

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday announced a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Campaign’ in the state from September 17 to October 17, with service, public participation, dialogue and innovation at its core.Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat, Dhami said the campaign, which begins on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, will seek to connect citizens with the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.The chief minister said 11 major programmes have been planned across Uttarakhand, involving students, youth, women, beneficiaries, parents, elected representatives, social organisations and citizens.

“Today, during the Cabinet meeting, we formulated plans for the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp’ campaign, which begins on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday,” Dhami said.He said the campaign would be implemented in a structured manner across the state, with various service-oriented activities planned at different locations and by different departments.“Today, we are engaging all our citizens in a campaign centred on service, dialogue and innovation, alongside the resolve to build a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047,” Dhami said.The chief minister said Modi had a special affection for Uttarakhand and recalled the prime minister’s description of the third decade of the 21st century as the “decade of Uttarakhand”.The campaign will be organised across all districts, with district in-charge ministers also participating in the programmes. Dhami said youth participation would be particularly important in achieving the goal of a developed India.
