Lab assistant ends life at Siddipet govt hospital, probe on

Hyderabad: A lab assistant working on an outsourcing basis at Siddipet govt hospital died on Sunday at the hospital, with police probing the circumstances surrounding his death.The deceased was identified as Aaku Bathini Pawan, a resident of Rajagopalpet village in Nangunur mandal. He had been working as a lab assistant at the govt hospital for the past eight years on an outsourcing basis.According to Siddipet One Town sub-inspector Narasimhulu, Pawan had been concerned about his low income and was hoping to secure a permanent position at the hospital instead of continuing as an outsourced employee. Police are examining whether these concerns had any bearing on his death.Police reached the hospital after receiving information about the incident and registered a case. Statements from his family members, colleagues and hospital staff are being recorded as part of the investigation.
