Harish takes dig at Cong over Siddipet visit, calls his life an ‘open book’ | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Taking a dig at Congress leaders, who were reportedly visiting Siddipet to inspect his lands, former minister T Harish Rao said he would have made arrangements for them had they informed him about their visit, as he was available in Siddipet. Speaking at a meeting in Siddipet on Friday, Harish said his life was an “open book” and that details of his land and other assets had been clearly disclosed in all his election affidavits.“Congress leaders are reportedly coming to Siddipet to see my lands. Why do they need hundreds of police personnel, bulletproof vehicles and rope parties? Why are drones being used to take photographs?” he asked. “I will serve them a hearty meal and personally show them all my lands and gardens,” he said, urging the Congress leaders to state the facts instead of making allegations. He said details of his landholdings, including survey numbers, had been disclosed in all his election affidavits.“I have clearly mentioned all the details of my lands and assets in every election affidavit. We have given the details along with survey numbers. If there are 13 acres at Ramanchala, you are claiming that there are lands that do not exist,” he said. Harish questioned what new information the Congress leaders could possibly uncover when everything had already been disclosed.“What have I hidden? What new thing are you going to expose? Unlike you, I have not encroached upon lands or looted public money,” he said, targeting the ruling Congress. He attributed his repeated electoral victories to the support of the people of Siddipet. Harish said Siddipet was known for its warmth, affection and hospitality, and that anyone visiting the town would be welcomed.
