Krystle D’Souza recently welcomed filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan and her cook Dilip to her home in Lokhandwala. The actress, who featured in Dhurandhar’s hit song ‘Shararat’, lives in a lavish house in Andheri West, Mumbai. Farah’s vlog took viewers through the plush property, showcasing highlights like a walk-in closet and a dedicated glam room. During the visit, Krystle also looked back on getting fired by Ekta Kapoor at the age of 17, during her debut show, ‘Kahe Naa Kahe’ (2007).

Krystle D’Souza reveals she built the house herself

The moment Krystle let Farah into her home, the filmmaker couldn’t help but ask about the property, saying, “Yeh tera asli ghar hai? No rent, nothing?” Krystle replied, “Khoon paseena ek karke banaaya hai (I have worked really hard for this). This is my house, my own house, not rented. I used to live in Sion before. That house was 2BHK, and very small, maybe 700 sqft.”

“We also had a small 500 sq ft. house. We all used to stay there – my grandmother, brother, me, mom. Sajid used to sleep on the floor and I used to take the sofa,” Farah shared.

Krystle D’Souza’s living room blends comfort with elegance

Krystle’s home in Lokhandwala boasts a warm, elegant living room that combines contemporary design with a cosy touch. The space follows a muted colour palette of cream, beige, and brown. Nearby, the dining area features a large wooden table paired with chairs, complemented by wall paintings and framed artwork.

Krystle D’Souza’s living room opens into a balcony

At the centre of the living room sits a large wooden coffee table, surrounded by cream-coloured couches. Touches like a patterned rug, plants, books, and decorative showpieces add a homely feel to the space. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors run throughout the house, particularly in the living room, which opens out onto a balcony fitted with cosy seating to take in the high-rise views.

Krystle D’Souza’s bedroom has a New York-style view

The bedroom in the high-rise apartment features a large glass window offering a view of the city skyline, reminiscent of the way bedrooms are typically designed in New York. Stepping into the room, Farah joked, “Oh my, Krystle. We are in a bedroom in New York. You can see the Empire State building from here.” The beige bed was neatly dressed with a white comforter, while the standout feature of the cosy room was the Sabyasachi floral wallpaper, priced at around Rs 35,000 per roll.

Krystle D’Souza’s walk-in closet is neat and organised

Next, Krystle took Farah on a tour of her walk-in closet and glam room, both neatly arranged with designer clothes and handbags. “So neat and clean, Krystle,” Farah remarked. “I used it for everyday, just to go downstairs sometimes,” Krystle replied. To this, Farah quipped, “Designer bags are being used for everyday guys. I also should have done 2-3 item songs.” Krystle, however, clarified, “This is just because of television, not item songs.“

Krystle prefers getting ready in a separate space in her house, aptly named the ‘Glam room’. The room features a large orange sofa, while a stone wall is lit up with neon text reading, “Everything You Can Imagine Is Real.”

Krystle D’Souza recalls being fired from her debut show

When Farah brought up her television debut during the vlog, Krystle looked back on being “thrown out” of her first show, ‘Kahe Naa Kahe’ (2007), by producer Ekta Kapoor. “I did my first TV serial, and I was so bad, so horrible, that I was thrown out of the show. I was bad but Ekta couldn’t tell me because I was very young. We had a conversation where she made me eat pizza first. ‘You know, we will do something else’s,” Krystle recalled, adding, “I had already told her that I am not very good at Hindi. She found me outside my college, I had never auditioned, I was just 17, and didn’t know what to do with my life.”
