Choreographer Shrasti Varma joins BJP
Hyderabad: Choreographer Shrasti Varma joined BJP on Monday. Telangana BJP president Ramchander Rao welcomed Shrasti Varma and several others into the party at a programme held at the party office in Nampally. Shrasti, a choreographer in the Telugu film industry, joining politics has drawn attention in the wake of her allegations against a fellow choreographer. In Sept 2024, she lodged a complaint with the Narsingi police, alleging that she was sexually harassed and assaulted by a choreographer while working as his assistant.
