Bandi questions Cong leaders’ farmhouse visit

Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday questioned Congress leaders’ visit to BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse, asking whether it was a tourist centre. He said the govt had no need to visit private land if there were allegations of encroachment and could seize any govt land after verifying records.“If there is govt land in the farmhouse, take it into possession immediately. If there was land grabbing, the Congress govt should make the evidence public and initiate criminal action,” he said.Bandi also alleged that people were facing difficulties because of restrictions under Section 22-A and said both the previous BRS and the present Congress govts had used the provision to their advantage. He said BJP would take up a legal fight if the issue was not resolved. On the proposed Khairatabad bypoll, Bandi alleged that Congress was approaching Supreme Court because it was afraid of facing the election. He claimed the contest would be solely between BJP and BRS.Bandi also appealed to people to celebrate Ganesh festivities peacefully and cooperate with police.
