The residence carries considerable historical and emotional significance for the Nandamuri family. NTR built the house for Balakrishna in 1982, and it has remained his residence for decades. It has also hosted family celebrations and served as a place where NTR met his fans.Despite this attachment, Balakrishna agreed to part with the land without seeking monetary compensation, opting instead for TDR. The ongoing works will affect more than half of one of the buildings on the property, necessitating relocation, the chief minister’s office said in a statement.
