Hyderabad: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday directed Congress leaders to ensure that all eligible graduates who completed their graduation by Sept 2023 register as voters. He stressed that no eligible voter should be left out of the electoral rolls. Addressing a district-level Congress meeting at Vidyanagar in Chunchupalli mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, the minister also called upon Congress leaders and workers to participate in large numbers in the ‘Vote Bachao – Desh Bachao’ rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Nov 1. He urged party workers to unite against the BJP-led Centre’s alleged attempts to delete voters’ names through the SIR process.He said the impact of El Niño could lead to severe weather conditions and water shortages in April and May. He urged people to use water and electricity judiciously and called for coordination between govt departments and the public to address potential challenges. He also asked Congress workers to counter what he termed as false propaganda by BRS leaders by highlighting the govt’s development and welfare schemes and explaining their benefits to people in every village.
