Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy-led Congress govt will reach the 1,000-day mark in the govt in Sept first week, and the govt has claimed that the journey has been that of welfare, development, social justice and administrative reforms.Telangana state’s per capita income increased to ₹4,18,931 in 2025-26, which is approximately 91% higher than the national per capita income.The chief minister’s office said the govt waived crop loans of up to ₹2 lakh for more than 25 lakh farmers, paid them ₹36,000 crore in Rythu Bharosa, extending ₹500 per quintal bonus on fine variety paddy, supplying 24×7 free power to agriculture, extending farmer insurance and crop-loss compensation – in all spending ₹1.68 lakh crore on agriculture and farmer welfare in the last 32 months.“Over 1.47 crore metric tonnes of paddy was procured with ₹35,077 crore paid to the farmers. Irrigation initiatives include ensuring Telangana’s rightful share in Krishna and Godavari river waters,” the CMO stated.Women-focused welfare includes free RTC bus travel, free electricity up to 200 units, LPG cylinders refill at ₹500, financial assistance under Kalyana Lakshmi, bank loans to self-help groups women at zero interest. Over 15 lakh new ration cards were issued, expanding food security to 3.38 crore people, it said.Housing and social security remain major priorities, with 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses sanctioned in the first phase. The govt also completed a comprehensive caste survey and became the first state to implement SC categorisation post the Supreme Court order. The govt has also passed 42% reservations for BCs, which is pending with the Centre.Education and employment measures nutrition programmes for over 22 lakh students, 10,006 teacher appointments, fee reimbursement, and ₹1,000 crore for Osmania University. More than 72,000 govt jobs have been filled, the statement said.Administrative reforms include the Bhu Bharati land law, digital land services and Praja Palana grievance systems. Infrastructure plans include the Regional Ring Road, HAM roads, Metro Rail Phase-II, radial roads, Musi rejuvenation, and airport development.Under Telangana Rising–2047, the govt has set targets of a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047, with Bharat Future City envisioned as a net-zero smart city and a global centre for AI, data centres, advanced manufacturing, research and innovation.‘6kg fine rice per person’Irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy said welfare and development had progressed simultaneously, with food security, farmer support, women’s empowerment and social justice receiving particular emphasis. “Among the govt’s major initiatives is the supply of six kg of fine rice per person to approximately 3.42 crore beneficiaries. Lakhs of deserving families have also received new, smart ration cards,” he said.
