Watch: Karmabhoomi Express coaches gutted in Punjab; short-circuit suspected

NEW DELHI: Three coaches of the Karmabhoomi Express were gutted after a fire broke out in the train near Sarai Banjara in Punjab’s Patiala district on Friday afternoon.The incident took place at around 1pm, triggering panic among passengers as flames spread from one coach to two others. The visuals show the train coaches completely charred because of the fire.

Several users on X shared videos of the burning train, showing thick smoke billowing from the coaches as the fire engulfed them.According to Government Railway Police (GRP) SHO Gurpreet Singh, a short circuit in a coach fan is suspected to have triggered the fire.
