The personal loss behind Rukmini Vasanth’s journey

Few fans may know that Rukmini’s story carries a deeply personal chapter of loss. Her father, Colonel Vasanth Venugopal, was killed in a terrorist attack in 2007 and was posthumously honoured with the Ashoka Chakra for his bravery. In the aftermath, her mother took on the responsibility of raising the family alone. Rather than letting that loss define her path, Rukmini channelled her energy into the performing arts, training across acting, singing and dance before enrolling in drama school.
