Toxic Movie Review and Release Live Updates: FIRST reviews out for Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Geetu Mohandas’ film; Screenplay faces criticism

According to Sacnilk, ‘Toxic’ had recorded a Day 1 advance booking gross of Rs 43.64 crore in India, including block seats, as of 1 pm on August 25. The film has also registered strong pre-sales in international markets.
The movie, reportedly made on a budget of around Rs 500 crore, features a large ensemble cast led by Yash. Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Sudev Nair are among the prominent names associated with the project.
Speaking about the film at a promotional event at Malla Reddy University in Hyderabad, Yash said, “Toxic is bold. Toxic is original. Toxic is ambitious. Toxic is path-breaking. Toxic will blow your mind. Beyond that, it’s a movie that is very deep. Psychologically, what I believe is, art should always push you to the darkest corners and make you ask those uncomfortable questions about human relationships and what we go through psychologically in life. So it’s a great film which will speak to you on a personal level also.”
The film’s overseas advance sales have also gained attention. In the UK, ‘Toxic’ has reportedly secured more than 400 screens. According to Venky Box Office, the movie had grossed $292,541 across 362 locations and 873 shows.
The Telugu market has also contributed significantly to the pre-release business, with reported pre-sales of Rs 15 crore. Overall advance sales across markets have crossed the Rs 70 crore mark.
Yash recently shared an update on Instagram, writing, “The World of Toxic is yours from tomorrow. ..”
