NEW DELHI: Sujeet Kalkal gave India its first gold medal in wrestling at the Asian Games 2026, winning the men’s freestyle 65kg title in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.Kalkal defeated Tajikistan’s Abdulmazhid Kudiev in the final at the Nagoya City Inae Sports Center.Kalkal won the bout 3-1 on points, with Kudiev also scoring a point.The Indian wrestler held his nerve in the final to secure the gold medal.
