Sia granted primary physical custody of son, Somersalt Wonder
According to reports shared online by TMZ, Sia, whose real name is HH, has been granted primary physical custody of her son with Dan Bernad. However, Bernad still has legal custody of him and is granted visitation rights to spend time together with him on holidays. The estranged couple reached an agreement over the matter and outlined the details of their custody thoroughly, according to the report shared online.
Sia’s agreement to pay for child support
This is not the first major agreement that the estranged couple has reached in their custody battle. Earlier this year, in April, it was reported that the Grammy-winning singer had agreed to pay around USD 42.5 thousand in child support to Bernad for their two-year-old son. According to the reports shared online at the time, the documents for the agreement were filed with the Los Angeles County Superior Court on April 6.The singer also publicly addressed the agreement in a social media post that same month. She had shared, “I see my settlement has been picked up by the press. I’m a sober working mom trying to buy peace. I have primary custody of our son, and since I am the only parent earning income, I still have to pay California’s incredibly high child support.” She continued, “This has been a horrific year, but it taught me how to navigate incredibly difficult situations, prioritize my family, and not absorb other people’s negativity. To err is human, to forgive is divine.”The child support agreement started on April 1 and is set to continue until their son turns 18, or, if he is still attending high school full-time, until he graduates from school or turns 19. The filing also reported that Sia is also responsible for maintaining health insurance for their son and also taking care of other expenses, which include things like private school tuition, agreed-upon extracurricular activities, and uninsured healthcare costs.Disclaimer: The information in this report is based on a legal hearing as reported by a third-party source.
