Promote Modi’s achievements among Gen Z, BJP leaders told

Hyderabad: The BJP high command has asked the Telangana unit to sharpen its outreach to Gen Z and strengthen its social media presence as part of a broader strategy to expand the party’s appeal among young voters, according to party sources.The direction was conveyed by BJP national general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal during a recent meeting with Telangana leaders, sources said. Leaders were asked to actively promote the Narendra Modi-led govt’s achievements, flagship schemes and the Prime Minister’s leadership across social media platforms while increasing engagement with first-time and young voters.According to party sources, the high command conveyed that the party’s messaging should take precedence over individual branding. Leaders were advised to align their social media activity with the organisation’s political priorities and ensure greater visibility for the BJP’s campaigns and the Centre’s initiatives.Sources said the party leadership has also begun informally reviewing the social media activity of leaders to assess their engagement levels and the extent to which they are amplifying the party’s messaging.As part of the renewed strategy, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha has been entrusted with a series of programmes aimed at increasing the party’s connect with students, first-time voters and other young sections of the electorate across the state.The Telangana BJP is also expected to intensify its campaign against the Congress govt on issues that it believes resonate with young voters. One of the key issues identified by the party is the delay in clearing fee reimbursement dues.State BJP president N Ramchander Rao recently launched a poster campaign on the issue and said the party would continue to pressure the Congress govt until the pending fee reimbursement dues were cleared. Referring to chief minister A Revanth Reddy’s remarks on giving greater opportunities to younger leaders, Ramchander Rao said that if the CM was serious about promoting Gen Z leadership, he should consider appointing one of them as the state’s education minister.
