Warangal: Cong govt has decided to immediately start outpatient services at the newly constructed super speciality hospital, with senior officials directed to expedite the required work.The decision followed a day-long review led by CMO chief secretary Dr N Sridhar and special chief secretary Vikas Raj. Superintendents of state-run MGM Hospital, Govt CKM Maternity Hospital, Govt Maternity Hospital, Hanumakonda, and Regional Eye Hospital, Warangal, besides Kakatiya Medical College principal, discussed arrangements for starting outpatient wings.Sridhar directed construction officials to complete the hospital floor by floor to make it operational. He asked Warangal and Hanumakonda district collectors Dr Satya Sharada and Chahat Bajpai, respectively, to visit the site daily, monitor work and ensure convenient use of hospital space for patients.Chief minister A Revanth Reddy sent the officials to Warangal to expedite the opening of outpatient wings following the collapse of ceiling plaster in a patient ward at MGM Hospital and concerns over its old structures.The visiting officials reviewed the status of Warangal Super Speciality Hospital with construction authorities and discussed issues with CMO secretary K Manicka Raj and planning and finance secretary Dr Gaurav Uppal. They inspected electricity and water supply systems and other basic amenities.The Hyderabad team also interacted with Warangal and Hanumakonda district authorities and directed them to speed up the launch of outpatient services.
