NIZAMABAD: A man accused of allegedly murdering his wife was stabbed to death in broad daylight near RR X Roads in Telangana’s Nizamabad while he was out on bail, police said.The deceased has been identified as Hari Babu, who was the prime accused in the killing of his wife, Vaishnavi, according to news agency PTI.The incident took place on Thursday evening when Babu was reportedly on his way to his corn shop.According to police, Babu sustained severe bleeding injuries after being stabbed and died on the spot. The incident was captured on CCTV footage.The accused has been identified as Santosh, Vaishnavi’s brother, police said.A police official earlier said, “Yesterday evening at around 5:30 PM, one person suddenly came from a car and attacked a man by stabbing him with a knife, and he died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Haribabu.”Following the incident, police formed special teams to trace and arrest the accused. Police had earlier suspected that members of the deceased’s family could be involved in the killing.“The deceased had earlier killed his wife, Vaishnavi and had recently come out of jail. We suspect that his wife’s family members may be involved in the matter. The incident happened when the victim was going to his corn shop, and the entire incident was captured on CCTV footage. We are investigating the matter, and the dead body has been shifted for PME,” the official said.After the killing, Santosh released a self-recorded video in which he confessed to the murder. In the video, he claimed that he killed Hari Babu to avenge his sister Vaishnavi’s death.Hari Babu had been arrested a few months ago for allegedly murdering Vaishnavi and had recently been released on bail.Santosh is currently in police custody and further investigation is underway, police said.(With Agency Inputs)
