504 vacancies across seven postsThe recruitment includes 81 Subedar posts, 69 Sub-Inspector posts in the Special Armed Force (SAF) and 312 Sub-Inspector posts in the District Police Force (DEF). Technical vacancies include 10 posts for Sub-Inspector (Arms), nine for Sub-Inspector (Photo), four for Sub-Inspector (Questioned Documents) and 22 for Sub-Inspector (Finger Print).

Applicants from outside Madhya Pradesh can apply only under the Unreserved (UR) Open category. Reservation and age relaxation benefits are available only to permanent Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates.For Subedar, Sub-Inspector (SAF) and Sub-Inspector (DEF), candidates need a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. The Arms post requires a three-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates applying for Photo, Questioned Documents and Finger Print posts need a bachelor’s degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.The maximum age varies by category and applicant status, with the applicable age calculated as of September 23, 2026. The upper age limit ranges from 33 to 43 years under the categories specified in the notification. No age relaxation is available to candidates from other states.Physical standards for applicantsMale candidates must have a minimum height of 167.5 cm and chest measurements of at least 81 cm unexpanded and 86 cm expanded, with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. Female candidates must have a minimum height of 152.4 cm.Unaided vision requirements for both male and female candidates are 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the worse eye. Candidates will have to qualify the prescribed physical and subsequent selection stages after the written examinations.
