Hyderabad: A Hyderabad court on Thursday sentenced a 32-year-old man to life imprisonment for murdering his wife in Jiyaguda in 2022. The II Additional Sessions Judge, Nampally, convicted Menda Santosh under Section 302 of the IPC in connection with a case registered by Kulsumpura police.According to the prosecution, Santosh assaulted his wife, Saritha, during a domestic quarrel on July 15, 2022, inflicted injuries with a pair of scissors and strangled her with a dupatta, resulting in her death. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by the victim’s elder sister. After investigation, police filed a charge sheet before the court. Following the trial, the court found the accused guilty and sentenced him to rigorous imprisonment for life and imposed a fine of ₹2,000.
