Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao has condemned the arrest of party leader Manne Krishank, alleging that he was taken into custody for questioning alleged corruption involving the Anumula family.In a series of remarks on X , KTR targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and accused the Congress govT in Telangana of suppressing political dissent.KTR alleged that Krishank was “illegally arrested” after raising questions, with supporting evidence, about alleged corruption involving the Anumula family. He questioned whether Rahul Gandhi could make allegations against political opponents without evidence while a BRS leader was being sent to jail for raising questions backed by documents.Targeting Rahul Gandhi, KTR alleged that while the Congress leader speaks about the Constitution in Delhi, an “anarchic rule” was being carried out in Telangana through CM Revanth Reddy. He also accused the state govt of encouraging defections from opposition parties.The BRS leader alleged that Rahul Gandhi, who has been raising the issue of “vote theft” in his political campaign, had enabled Revanth Reddy to become CM despite there were allegations against him in “cash-for-vote” case.“Can Rahul Gandhi make baseless allegations against anyone, but send Krishank to jail when he questions the govt with evidence?” KTR asked.He urged Rahul Gandhi to “control” Revanth Reddy and stop what he described as an attempt to undermine the Constitution and democratic principles.ends/
