Hyderabad: Telangana assembly speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on Saturday said the Kodad Mega Job Mela had opened new employment opportunities for unemployed youth, and called for similar large-scale recruitment drives across the state.Addressing hundreds of job seekers, the speaker said the participation of around 350 companies was an “extraordinary achievement.”“It should not remain a one-time event. More such job melas must be organised throughout Telangana,” he said, describing the event as a significant opportunity for the youth of Kodad, the erstwhile Nalgonda district and neighbouring regions.He said employment could transform not just an individual’s life but an entire family, adding that job creation remained a key priority of the Congress govt under chief minister A Revanth Reddy. The govt had already filled more than 60,000 vacancies and would continue issuing recruitment notifications, he said.Emphasising the need for continuous skill development amid rapid technological change and the rise of artificial intelligence, he urged youth to aspire to become entrepreneurs and create jobs for others.The Kodad job mela was organised with the participation of around 350 companies, offering recruitment opportunities to youth from Kodad, the erstwhile Nalgonda district and neighbouring areas.Prasad Kumar also praised irrigation and civil supplies minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Kodad MLA N Padmavathi Reddy for organising the recruitment drive.
