During a recent conversation with Sony Music South, Karthi, director PS Mithran and actor SJ Suryah discussed ‘Sardar 2’ and revisited the first film. Recalling the scene that affected him the most, Karthi said, “There is a line which goes, ‘Each and every bottled water that is sold for money represents the twisting of a child’s neck.’ As that dialogue is said, the cap of a bottle is twisted.”Karthi revealed that Mithran had described the idea to him while narrating the story. The actor admitted that the moment stayed with him long after filming. “But that was very haunting for me,” he said.

Written and directed by PS Mithran, the film starred Karthi in a dual role alongside Raashii Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Laila and others.‘Sardar 2’ will expand the spy-thriller universe, with SJ Suryah joining the franchise as the main antagonist.
