NEW DELHI: Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh Tuesday told CWC that the political landscape would have been different if Nitish Kumar had been accommodated in 2023, referring to the JDU chief’s then aspiration of becoming the convener of opposition INDIA bloc for Lok Sabha polls.Intending to stress that Congress should try to spread the opposition umbrella as BJP and RSS are on a weak footing, his argument was that if appeased, Kumar would not have defected to the BJP camp.As the remark triggered murmurs, members led by Kharge rebutted the claim saying Kumar was never interested. Kharge said he came for a meeting and “told me” that he was not in a position to move out of Bihar.
