‘He irritates me, looks like fraud to me’: Cyrus Broacha slams Farah Khan’s cook Dilip, says his humour feels scripted | Hindi Movie News

Farah Khan’s YouTube vlogs, in which she visits celebrity homes, have made her cook Dilip a star in his own right. Many viewers love his effortless humour, humble nature and sharp banter with Farah. Comedian Cyrus Broacha, though, recently admitted that he doesn’t care for Dilip, saying his presence in the vlogs now seems scripted and his jokes feel forced.
Cyrus Broacha on Dilip: ‘He is overrated’
Comedian, actor and improviser Shantanu Anam recently appeared on Broacha’s YouTube talk show, “Cyrus Says.” During the chat, Cyrus described Dilip as irritating and spoke bluntly about him. “I don’t like that guy. He irritates me. He is like acting all the time now. The first couple of times he was nice otherwise he looks like a fraud to me. I think Farah feeds him the lines and then he says whatever he wants. Sometimes I feel his heart is not in it. He is overrated,” he said. Shantanu, however, stood up for Dilip, saying, “You are the only person in the world who doesn’t like Dilip. Dilip is lovable and sweet.”
How Farah Khan’s YouTube success changed Dilip’s life
In 2025, Farah shared how the success of her YouTube channel had changed things for Dilip, helping him clear his debts and build a house in his hometown in Bihar. She also revealed that his children are now studying in an English-medium school and that she helped one of his sons take up a culinary diploma course. Speaking to Soha Ali Khan on her YouTube channel, Farah said, “He had a lot of debt, I don’t know from where, so one year has gone by just paying off his debt and telling him that he cannot take a loan on interest anymore because whatever I am giving him is going down a well. So I have cleared all his debts, and now he’s building his house. I am trying to get many brands involved so that we give him the house for free.”
Dilip’s journey from Rs 300 to a share of Farah Khan’s vlog earnings
Dilip shared his journey in one of Farah’s vlogs, recalling that he began his career in Delhi on a mere Rs 300. When he came to work for Farah, he said, his first salary was Rs 20,000. According to Farah, that figure has grown substantially over the years, particularly once her YouTube channel became a hit. She has also mentioned that he earns additional income or a share of the revenue from their vlogs.
