Florence Pugh, who recently had a brief cameo as her character Yelena in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ recently opened up about working on the upcoming MCU film, ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ She will reprise her role in the film slated for release this December. During a recent interview, Pugh opened up about working on the film, how Tom Holland helped her land ‘Brand New Day,’ and named the MCU colleague she had the most fun working with.

While starring on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ Pugh opened up about how a passing comment Tom Holland made years ago helped her land a cameo in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day.’She shared, “This all happened because of Tom! So, years ago, when I had just kind of started my relationship with Marvel, and ‘Black Widow’ had come out, and my Yelena wasn’t obviously as big as all of the other big superheroes, he was on the red carpet of his previous movie when someone said, ‘Who do you want to do the next movie with?’ Do you want to be with, like, Thor?’”To this question at the time, Holland replied that he wanted to work with the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ star. “So, because of that, fans were then, like, so excited about the idea of it, and that started the ball rolling. So, thanks to Tom. Thank you, Tom!” she added.

Florence Pugh also opened up about returning to the sets with everyone for ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ The actress will next be seen as the lead of ‘East of Eden,’ the upcoming limited drama series inspired by John Steinbeck’s novel, which is releasing on October 1.During the interview, Pugh candidly shared behind-the-scenes moments and revealed the one MCU character she had the most fun working with on set. She was quick to share that it was none other than Channing Tatum, who is returning to the cinematic universe as the mutant Gambit. She talked about him and shared, “He’s so fun!”Gambit was set to appear in a solo film for the MCU; however, the project never materialised. However, Tatum still debuted as the beloved character in the 2024 billion-dollar film, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

‘Doomsday,’ scheduled for release on December 18, will feature superheroes from three different universes coming together to fight one of the most horrifying and powerful evils they have ever known: Dr. Victor Von Doom/Dr. Doom. Doom. Robert Downey Jr will have his much-anticipated return to the MCU as the main villain after his character, Iron Man, died in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ after saving everyone.
