Family feud turns fatal, man killed by son-in-law’s father | Hyderabad News

Rampur (Kazipet): A family feud stemming from a marital dispute allegedly led to the murder of a man by his son-in-law’s father late on Monday night, police said.The deceased, P Venkanna, was the father of a woman who had married the son of the accused, A Parameshwar. According to Kazipet inspector J Shyam Sunder, both families had initially approved the marriage. However, disputes later arose between the couple, leading to strained relations between the two families.Police said Parameshwar allegedly harboured a grudge against Venkanna following the dispute and planned his murder. The incident occurred on the outskirts of Rampur village under the limits of Dharmasagar PS. Both families are residents of Chilpur village in Jangaon district.According to the police, Parameshwar allegedly invited his friend, D Sampath, for a drinking session and asked him to bring Venkanna along. The three reportedly consumed alcohol near Rampur Lake late into the night.Police said that while Venkanna was in an intoxicated condition, Parameshwar allegedly attacked him with a knife and slit his throat, killing him on the spot on the lake bund.The body was discovered by locals on Tuesday morning, who alerted the police. Officers shifted the body to MGM Hospital, Warangal, for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.–
