Expedite hospital works, staff recruitment, Telangana chief minister tells officials

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday directed officials to take measures to strengthen education and healthcare infrastructure across Telangana and ensure that govt facilities function effectively at the grassroots level. At a review meeting with CMO officials, Revanth took stock of the progress of major hospital construction projects across the state. He instructed officials to accelerate construction work at hospitals in LB Nagar, Alwal, Warangal and Osmania General Hospital in Goshamahal.The CM directed chief secretary Sanjay Jaju to identify staff requirements, including doctors and support personnel, and initiate the recruitment process well in advance. “There should be no shortage of staff by the time the hospitals are completed. Procure state-of-the-art medical equipment so that comprehensive healthcare services can be made available immediately after the facilities become operational,” CM told the officials.Revanth further instructed district collectors and senior officials to undertake regular field visits to govt schools, social welfare hostels and hospitals. He called for weekly reviews of these facilities at the district level and stressed the need for vigilance regarding seasonal diseases.Global Summit arrangements reviewedChief minister also directed officials to undertake necessary repairs in schools wherever required and ensure that facilities are maintained properly. During the meeting, arrangements for Telangana Global Summit-2026, scheduled to be held at Future City in Dec, were also reviewed. The CM directed officials to prepare detailed plans covering arrangements, guests and investment proposals and said he would personally review the preparations soon.
