Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday challenged BRS working president KT Rama Rao and former IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar to prove their allegations that he was in possession of assigned lands, asserting that he would surrender any such property to govt if the claims were established.Dismissing the allegations as baseless, Kiran Kumar said he was being targeted because he had exposed the alleged land dealings of BRS leaders before the people of Telangana. He challenged his critics to visit the sites concerned and verify the facts instead of making accusations.“If there are any assigned lands, properties on the 22-A restricted list or illegal land holdings associated with me, come and inspect them. I will summon the officials and sign them over if the allegations are proved,” he said.The MP alleged that KTR and Praveen Kumar were targeting him in retaliation for exposing alleged details of the farmhouses and land dealings of KTR, KCR and Harish Rao.Referring to chief minister A Revanth Reddy’s recent disclosures in the assembly about the lands and properties owned by KTR, KCR, T Harish Rao, among others, Kiran Kumar said the CM had detailed alleged corruption during the nine-and-a-half-year previous BRS govt and presented information relating to lands and hotels across nine districts.He accused the BRS of spreading malicious propaganda on social media by manipulating audio recordings of Congress leaders’ voices. He also alleged that an AI-generated image had been circulated showing a person putting up a flex banner bearing his name and depicting him meeting Rahul Gandhi.Kiran Kumar further questioned KTR’s claims about his experience in the US and the development of a five-star hotel, asking how Telangana’s debt had reached nearly ₹8 lakh crore during the BRS govt’s tenure if the state had been administered so efficiently.Taking a swipe at Praveen Kumar, the MP alleged that statements were being made to portray him negatively before the people of Telangana. “Anyone with evidence of assigned lands, restricted properties or illegal land holdings in my name should come forward and establish the allegations or else stop making baseless allegations,” he said.
