Hyderabad: A group of Congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs on Monday inspected the Shamshabad area where the farmhouse of BRS MLA G Jagadish Reddy is located and said their intention is to expose the alleged farmhouse culture among the top BRS leaders in the state.Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy told media persons that when BRS leader Jagadish Reddy contested the elections in 2009, he had declared his total assets worth ₹12 lakh in his election affidavit. “By the 2023 assembly election, his wealth grew exponentially into crores of rupees,” he alleged.Kiran Kumar said people were asking why they were visiting the farmhouses of K Chandrasekhar Rao, KT Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, Pilot Rohith Reddy and now Jagadish Reddy. “We are here to expose the extent of wealth that has been amassed by the top BRS leaders,” he alleged.The Congress leaders alleged that govt lands were encroached upon and converted to private lands by misusing the Dharani portal. They demanded immediate legal scrutiny, asset recovery and the restoration of encroached lands back to the public domain.Since Sept 18, Congress leaders have started visiting farmhouses of BRS leaders to expose the alleged wealth that has been accumulated by them.
