India and Uzbekistan have elevated their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and set a target of $5 billion in bilateral trade by 2030, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. The two sides agreed to deepen cooperation in defence, energy, uranium supply, technology, AI, critical minerals and infrastructure. At least seven unidentified bodies have been recovered from the swollen Gandak, or Narayani, river in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj and Kushinagar districts following devastating floods in Nepal.
