Coal India MT answer key 2026: Coal India Limited has opened the response query and objection management window for candidates who appeared for the Management Trainee recruitment Computer Based Test (CBT) held on August 24, 2026. The facility is available through the individual candidate login portal from August 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM until September 3, 2026 at 11:55 PM.Candidates can access their individual response sheets, review the provisional answer key and raise challenges through the designated online portal. Coal India has stated that objections submitted through any other mode will not be entertained.Candidates can challenge provisional answer keyThe objection facility allows candidates to review their recorded responses against the provisional answer key and submit challenges to questions they consider incorrect. Candidates are required to use their individual login credentials to access the response query management facility.After the objection window closes, the submitted challenges will be examined by subject experts. The valid objections will be considered while preparing the final answer key and calculating candidates’ final scores.Coal India MT result expected in SeptemberThe review of objections is expected to take place during the first week of September. The Management Trainee written result, along with final scorecards and the PDF merit list, is expected during the second week of September.The merit list is expected to contain the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for subsequent stages of recruitment. Candidates who qualify will move to document verification and the Initial Medical Examination (IME).Document verification and medical examinations are expected in late September or early October. Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear at designated Coal India locations with their original certificates and other required documents.660 vacancies attract 1.29 lakh applicantsThe recruitment drive covers 660 Management Trainee vacancies across multiple core disciplines. A total of 129,870 candidates registered for the examination.Among the major discipline-wise applicant pools, Civil recorded 48,414 candidates, followed by Systems with 42,678 and Mechanical with 38,778 applicants.CBT carries 200 marksThe examination comprises two papers, carrying 100 marks each, for a total of 200 marks. Candidates were given three hours, or 180 minutes, to complete the examination.Coal India will apply statistical normalisation to raw scores to account for variations across multiple examination slots before preparing the merit list.Minimum qualifying marksCandidates must meet the prescribed minimum qualifying percentage to be considered for the merit list.
