CM Revanth directs policy for land pooling in Musi project and invite phase-2 tenders | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to formulate a land-pooling policy for areas affected by the Musi rejuvenation project, with a focus on lands falling under Full Tank Level (FTL) limits, buffer zones and assigned land categories.“Make sure that all legal complications are avoided during the land acquisition. Also, invite tenders for Phase-II of the Musi Project at the earliest,” he told officials during a review meeting at his Bodhi Pavilion camp office on the MCR HRD Institute campus.Revanth also advised municipal commissioners to focus on securing low-interest loans for project execution and review Transferable Development Rights (TDR) mechanisms every week.The meeting also reviewed plans related to the Manchirevula Omkareshwara Swamy Temple and measures to promote the Kothwalguda Bird Park.Officials informed the CM that Phase-I of the Musi project is estimated to cost ₹7,345 crore and cover a 21-km stretch of the river. It comprises two stretches converging at the proposed Gandhi Sarovar near Bapu Ghat, with Stretch-A extending 9.2 km from Himayatsagar and Stretch-B covering 11.8 km from Osmansagar (Gandipet).According to the detailed project report, the plan aims to ensure continuous freshwater flow, develop modern riverfront infrastructure and implement comprehensive flood mitigation measures. Earlier, the govt decided to provide rehabilitation housing support.
